1. Unbox Your Ledger Device
Inside the box, you should find:
- Your Ledger hardware wallet
- A USB cable
- Recovery sheets
- An instruction manual
2. Download Ledger Live
Ledger Live is the companion app for your Ledger hardware wallet. Download it from the official Ledger website. It's available for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
3. Connect Your Ledger Device
- Plug your Ledger device into your computer using the USB cable.
- Open Ledger Live and follow the on-screen instructions to set up your device.
4. Initialize Your Ledger Wallet
- Follow the prompts on your Ledger device to choose a PIN code. Make sure it's secure and memorable.
- Write down the recovery phrase (24 words) provided during the setup process. This is crucial for recovering your wallet if needed.
5. Add Your Accounts
- In Ledger Live, go to the "Accounts" tab and add the cryptocurrencies you plan to manage.
- Ledger Live will guide you through adding these accounts to your device.
6. Secure Your Device
- Ensure your recovery phrase is stored securely and never share it with anyone.
- Always use Ledger Live for managing your assets.
7. Start Managing Your Cryptocurrencies
